Edmonton-born Taskify launches Friday

Edmonton – CompuVision, an Edmonton-based core service IT provider will launch Taskify, a platform that opens the door to the global freelance market, Friday in Edmonton.

More than 250 business leaders from across Western Canada will attend the launch at ATB Arts Barns (Westbury Theatre 10330 84 Ave NW) from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Media are invited to attend.

“The cost of labour continues to rise across the globe and the pace of business is moving faster than ever before,” said CompuVison CEO Ryan Vestby. “It can be hard for business to keep up, but that’s where Taskify will come in.”

Taskify will allow businesses of any size to access the talented global freelance market, any time day or night, for everything from human resources, marketing, to accounting, administration and much, much more.

“Essentially, you could submit a request for a new blog or a logo before you go to bed, and in the morning, you’d have one ready to take to your 9 a.m. meeting,” said Vestby. “And you’d have it done at a fraction of traditional costs.”

“It’s an easy process that involves simply filling out a task form online through the website, using Amazon’s Alexa or by text.

“Once approved, a dedicated project representative will execute your task. It’s that easy,” said Vestby. “The only problem might be thinking of ways to occupy your newly-found free time.”

At 2:45 p.m., senior Microsoft executive Paul Estes, Upwork vice-president Robert Merritt and CompuVision CEO Ryan Vestby will lead a panel discussion on the future of work, including the gig economy and global talent market.

With more than 25 years in the IT industry, CompuVision has developed sophisticated systems to provide world-class core IT services for major companies throughout Canada and the United States.
